Visitors can enjoy sand and water, numerous concessions, and the only town-sanctioned surf beach. Rockaway Beach is home to a variety of playgrounds (baseball fields, basketball courts, handball courts, volleyball courts, skate park, rollerblading, hockey, skateboarding).
Easy way to get there?
There are several ways to get to Rockaway Seashore. You can take the subway or shuttle to the beach or take the ferry to Queens Seashore.
The New York Metropolis area’s central subway stations are Seashore Avenue Ninetieth and Seashore Avenue 98th, served by the A and S train lines.
The Q22, Q35 and Q53 SBS local buses serve the Rockaway Seashore area. They run every weekend, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
