A recap of my week-long road trip from Montreal to a journey along the East Coast of the US from Portland to New York, during the presidential election.
I decided to explore the beautiful and cozy American Midwest (Arizona and New Mexico, if you will), however the possibilities were determined differently. We gathered a few elements:
- Vaccinate your son 2 days before departure
- My sacrum was displaced 5 days before departure.
- Pregnant girl limited movement
For those of you who have never had the experience of moving a sacred object (and I hope there are many of you), know that this can be very painful, in my opinion more painful than a dislocation (and I know what I am talking about). Specifically, your body does not like the fact that your pelvis is missing and it causes you pain. And after recovery, it is not as simple as a dislocation. You will be in pain for a very long time (allow a great month or more).
In short, I had everything ready to visit New Mexico and Arizona, plans were made, routes were calculated, places to eat were found, but we had to go back to plan B: the East Coast of the United States.
Luckily we didn’t book anything in advance so it didn’t cost me anything. I just went back to school and searched for a resort/restaurant/airbnb/activity/trip and we were set.
This short summary is intended to introduce observable articles and will be divided by day, aimed at those who want to explore the East Coast of the United States, specifically:
- Portland (not Oregon)
- Boston
- Unexpected luck
- Salem
- And so on
In case you’re a TV fan, know that this space can be very trendy in creativity, despite its relative flatness when compared to exciting cities like Los Angeles or New York:
- As soon as it comes to a point
- McBeal’s Allies
- Edge
- And so on
It’s not the most action-packed area in the US, but if you’re stuck between Montreal and NYC and have a little time, it’s a relaxed, unique, stress-free experience. We take our time, we see the sights, we drive around, we travel through very small towns, in short, we live life at a slower pace.
That was the purpose of this trip, to reunite with family, to make lots of memories (sorry you don’t have pictures of my wife and son, but I took others for you) and to relax.
In case you are still skeptical about this trip and due to the observable articles, know that the majority of politicians (like Bush) have homes in the Hamptons , Boston is the seventh most populous city in the US by square kilometer and it is in this area that America was truly created.
In total, we were able to cover 6 states over about 2500km, all in 7 days. Here is an estimated itinerary (not including other trips to scenic spots, restaurants, etc.):
